(1) To vote on an amendment to the Essentials (cf. 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:125).
(2) To propose an amendment to the Constitution (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:200-385) by a two-thirds vote, subject to ratification by two-thirds of all the members of the several district conferences, present and voting (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:385; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1180:1; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1560); to ratify, by a two-thirds vote, an amendment to the Constitution, which has originated in a district conference and has been approved by a two-thirds vote of all the members of the several district conferences, present and voting (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:385; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1180:2; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1560; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1935:47). When the voting is completed, the General Superintendent shall canvass the vote; and when the amendment has received the required majority, it shall be declared effective as constitutional law (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:385; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1935:47).
