1903. The General Superintendent is elected from among the ordained ministers of The Wesleyan Church by the General Conference as a general official of the Church (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:325; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:350:1; 2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1590:16), and is an ex officio member of the General Conference (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1503:1c), the General Board (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1605:1), the Executive Board (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1755), and the Executive Cabinet (2016 Wesleyan Discipline:1990).
